How Do You Protect Your Eyes From Screens?

Since we started our YouTube channel, I have had mixed feelings about it. From great Sophia gets to learn how to edit videos to oh no this is taking so much of our time! I suppose one of the reasons why I do not like the idea of my young child to spend too long in front of a screen is to keep her 20-20 vision. I grew up without computers and smartphones, but in high school, my eyesight started getting bad and I had to wear glasses on my 3rd year. It must have been from my love of books!

The other day Sophia told me (in a very small voice for fear of incurring my wrath) that her eyesight is not as good as before. I was immediately alarmed and told her that we really need to limit her screen time, and that maybe we should pause uploading videos for now (sorry, fans!).

I have been researching online on the subject and I know I still need to have her eyes checked, but I am glad to read about digital eye strain. I sure hope that is all Sophia is experiencing and she does not need to wear glasses. In the photo below, Sophia is wearing an anti-blue light pair of glasses. I am not sure how effective it is, but protection is better than cure right?

I have found this article very helpful and you might want to check it out, too. https://kraffeye.com/blog/how-to-protect-eyes-from-mobile-and-computer-screens.
