Written February 2, 2021:
My mom was bored so I encouraged her to read books and I suggested The Road Less Traveled by M. Scott Peck. I must have read this 3 times already, the first one when I was in the university, for a theology class.
She preferred Sophia’s Frozen 2 book. Lol. Before dinner, I picked up the book, and I should have known I’d get hooked again. It sure is not the first time I’m reading it, but the first line got my attention. Again! Life is difficult!
I was just talking about this with a good friend last week.
O: the pain will still be a companion for some years though. pain is a good friend, but a bad advisor
S: what d’you mean?
O: pain will stick to you like chewing gum. Hard to forget. But keep it as advisory, yet not let the pain hinder you in your life
S: yeah, I’m scared to trust another man again
O: that’s what I say, don’t let it be your advisor
S: d’you find it easy to trust another woman?
O: depends. I try to give them all credit. As they are not to blame for what others screwed up. But it’s hard work
S: yeah it is. 😦
O: life is never meant to be easy 😉
S: I believe it could be
It could be, right?

Update: I have yet to meet someone who may not necessarily make love easy, but is definitely worth the problems and pain.
